Wide-format Direct-to-Fabric Inkjet Printer

Taking full account of the characteristics and dimensional stability of textile substrates, Amica designs and manufactures the direct-to-fabric inkjet printer, CR33. From ink supply system, platen with a trough, media feeding system, to drying system, the CR33 printer is tailored to printing with water-based dye or pigment inks onto a wide variety of textile substrates, especially on polyester and open-weave fabrics. The CR33 printer can be customized based on different industrial DOD piezoelectric grayscale print heads to satisfy various application needs. Because the construction of the printer is sturdy, the printing quality remains stable even at high-speed printing mode.
Owing to the proven halftone algorithms embedded in ColorPRINT RIP software, the CR33 printer offers you high-quality prints with smooth gradient, brilliant and vivid colors, and soft skin tones. The CR33 printer also provides better and sufficient penetration of inks in textile substrates so that the printed fabrics like flags can achieve a high “see-through” effect. The CR33 printer is your ideal choice for digital textile applications, including soft signage, clothing, and home textiles.

High-quality printing

Grayscale and light color printing. The CR33 printer can print with the inks of CMYK or CMYKLcLm. Amica’s proprietary Variable Droplet Size control technology combining with light color printing allows superior quality prints with soft skin tones, smooth gradient, and crisp and clear small-size texts and lines. You will not only benefit from low ink consumption, but also obtain high-quality final prints.

Advanced degas system. Dissolved gases will inevitably accumulate in the ink as a result of repeatedly pressurizing and decompressing the piezoelectric crystal. The hollow fibers membranes in the degas system of the CR33 printer efficiently eliminate the air bubbles that may impact on nozzle performance for consistent and reliable print quality.

Consistent and brilliant color reproduction

ICC Color Management. The CR33 printer is compatible with ICC color management workflow. It guarantees excellent print quality and high efficiency with exquisite and consistent color.

Degas System

Color book and special color. Color Book in ColorPRINT enables you to define a range of color swatches. After printing swatches on target media and completing the finishing processes, you can choose your desired swatch and enter its color value into the Special Color Library in ColorPRINT or your design applications. All you do will empower you to print out exact colors efficiently and easily.

Spot color. The CR33 printer enables you to print spot colors with the combination of process inks or spot inks. It helps you to meet even the most stringent corporate brand requirements while printing corporate logos and recognizing colors.
Color Book

Perfect and seamless repeated images
Step & Repeat. You just need to add a single repeat into ColorPRINT, rather than wasting time to create huge files containing many repeats in design applications. ColorPRINT also offers a lot of settings to adjust your repeats, such as shift size, mirror types and the controls of drop, slide or diagonal.

Seamlessly printing repeats. ColorPRINT can not only RIP overall image with many repeats for the best printing quality, but also RIP one repeat for high Ripping speed. Utilizing proprietary halftone algorithms, ColorPRINT will perfectly eliminate seams between repeats. PCS (Printer Control Software) can also use Ripped data only containing one repeat for printing and fit for the length and width of textiles.

Release and Take-up System
The release and take-up system of the CR33 printer is specially designed for handling the advancement of fabrics on a wide-format inkjet printer. The effective media path makes it easy to load heavy rolls tightly and straightly. It also ensures every step of the fabrics is constant and completely avoids the touch between the head and the fabric.
  • The pinch rubber roller presses fabrics tightly together with un-wind rubber roller. The pressure can be adjusted for different fabrics so as to keep fabrics even before printing.
  • Two servo motors precisely control the rotary movement of un-wind & re-wind drive rubber rollers.
  • Un-wind tension bar eliminates the wrinkle during media feeding
  • Un-wind & re-wind pneumatic shafts make it easy to load and unload heavy rolls.
  • Depending on the dimensional stabilities of fabrics, the torsions of two torsion motors of pneumatic shafts can be adjusted to primarily control the tension of media path.

Drying System
Drying system consists of a heating plate equipped with NIR lamps and cooling fan. The recommended setting is 70°C for the heating plate to dry the inks on the fabrics. This drying system effectively ensures inks are completely dry before fabrics are rewound so that ghosting or replicas caused by the migration of inks can be fully avoided.
Ink Trough
The CR33 printer employs an ink trough under platen to catch the ink that passes through the fabric. This design is especially suitable for the high ink coverage or printing on media with an open weave such as mesh flag. A block of sponge can be placed into the ink trough if necessary for better ink absorption and convenient maintenance.
Negative Pressure System
With the help of a microprocessor, Active Negative Pressure System has the ability of displaying the real-time negative pressure value and ensures high-speed and high-quality printing when print heads jet at higher firing frequency.
Print Head Maintenance
Based on an all-in-one design concept, the small and compact Print Head Maintenance Module allows automatic purging, wiping and capping instead of manual maintenance.
